Outre 4 Way Part Lace Wig

Outre has always release some awesome hair units , so that you can be versatile and express your creativity, through your hair. I was so excited when I got asked to review Outre’s 4 Way Part Lave wig by Sam’s Beauty. My first experience with Outre was back in early 2005 , with their Half Wigs, that could easily be converted to a ponytail.

When I received this lace front , I already knew chances were I would like it. Let’s get into this review.

The wig is 20 inches , and is synthetic. The fibers can be heated and curled up to 400 degrees. I do flat iron my unit , and make sure to use a little of heat protectant.

The unit has four combs in the index , and straps to tighten the unit in the bk. There is also a small amount of lace located on the , do that you can pull it up in a high ponytail or top knot.

Shedding is limited. I brushed , combed and styled without hair getting all over the sink and the rig. If you have a chance to check this unit out , tell me how like it.

MaryKay’s Satin Shea Lip Balm

Hello Curlies !

I have an amazing new product to share with you today. The best part is it’s actually a set ! Yes ! It’s the MaryKay Cosmetics Satin Lips Balm and Shea Sugar Lip Scrub

They are in nice little tubs , that fit in your pocket for when you’re on the go. I have to admit that I was a little iffy about doing the review when asked by my own MaryKay Consultant Shay. Why ? Well, who wears MaryKay now I thought ? Ladies and gents ! I am proud to announce that I do ! Just these two products alone got me thinking about what else I’m missing by them

Let’s start this review …..

I have full lips , and it’s important to me that they stay nice and looking great at all times. With that tasks always come error. Some lippies cause you to have dead skin in the corners of your mouth ( yuck ) or just make your lips too moist to wear it does make them look unattractive. I didn’t experience this with these products. I first used the lip scrub , a little bit goes a long way. You only have to use a dime size to get the job done

I didn’t wet my lips only because I wanted to get everything off. I rubbed and rubbed . A lot of dead skin was removed which had me in total shock. My lips didn’t even look like it was any dead skin on them. After the scrub I dried my lips , and applied the lip balm.

My lips looked totally different! Above you will see how pink and nice they are. I did not line my lips or anything. There is not a tint under the balm at all , and the balm itself isn’t tinted. I was really feeling myself.

I suggest that you go and purchase these two items , because your colored lippies will apply even better over these two. I did it and I was very happy with my results.

I applied a nude/brownish color over the MaryKay balm and it was perfect.

Sugarpill’s Anti-Socialite Liquid Lip Color

Hello FabCrew!

I have a new cosmetics company that I cannot seem to get enough of . The name of the company is Sugarpill, and you can find them on Instagram to check out some amazing looks done by customers. The lip color that I will be sharing with you all this time around is “Anti-Socialite“.  Anti-Socialite is a super matte blackened burgundy color that loos good on all skin tones. The great thing about this lippie is that it is build-able , meaning that you can control how dark or light it is by applying less or more applications. Now let’s talk facts, because you actually need to know if its worth the price of $18.00. Correct?  Anti-Socialite is said to last up to 18 hrs, and I believe it can . I applied some at 2pm , and it was still on my lips the next day till 6am. Did it dry my lips out? No.  I do apply a lip moisturizer before every lipstick application anyway, which you should do anyway to protect your lips from cracking.  I really do like this shade, and received lots of compliments when wearing it out.

Relaxed In Victoria Secret’s Pink / Sport

Hi Guys !

The material is nice and soft , and the leggings are pretty long. If you’re short like me , you might end up with them pretty high over your belly button. The nice thing about the leggings is the string that is in the inside front to make the waist tighter if need be.

I really like that the sweatshirt is not too thick , I would say it’s the thin type sweatshirt , so in nice fall weather a jacket is not needed.

Hold Up! I Microbladed !

Hi Guys ! 

I know I have been sharing on the Facebook page that I was going to post all my footage from my microblading experience for you guys. I decided to wait till after my follow up appointment, because I want to be sure to provide all the necessary information. Healing time , what I went through emotionally and what the followup appointment fixed , if I had any thing I needed correcting.  I’m going to post a few pictures so that you can get a slight idea. Everything is going great so far , I’m almost at a month mark, and I’m loving my results so far.

Amazing right ?! I can’t believe it neither. I wake up and shake my locs , put on lip glosss and a little eyeliner and bam , I’m finished.  I have to say it’s worth the price , and honestly everything else. I won’t go into much detail , because I want to save all that for later , but make sure you research , research this before doing it. Always do your research !  If you have any questions or want to share your microblading experience , I’m listening. Share !

Activated Charcoal = White Teeth

I’m sure that you have heard the craze about the newest beauty secret for a great smile, and you had questions about it. Activated Charcoal has been out for years, and people have been using it to whiten their teeth, and to lighten up scars . I decided to try it myself on my teeth to see how great the results would actually be. In the picture above it shows the brand that I bought with my own funds to test the product out. Make sure that you are using activated charcoal, not charcoal you use on the grill. This charcoal an be consumed , and the other cannot. YOU WILL GET VERY SICK from using the wrong one.

Items Needed 

Charcoal

Tooth Brush (Preferably a dark bristled one because using white will look yucky)

A small cup ( To dump the charcoal and pour water in to make a paste)

Tooth Paste

Mouth Wash ( optional )

Directions

Unscrew 1 or 2 vegetable capsules and empty the charcoal into the small cup

Put only a small amount of water into the cup, enough to make a paste

Brush your teeth with the charcoal paste, and tongue

After you are finished brushing , with the charcoal still on teeth brush your teeth with your regular tooth paste

Be sure to brush your tongue as well.

Gargle with mouth wash once you’re finished

Here are the pictures of the charcoal on my teeth , and once I brushed them and used mouth wash. You will see results immediately , and will want to do this every day . This is my results after doing this two days in a row. The charcoal basically is a stain remover , and will pull all stains from your teeth. If you are a heavy coffee drinker, you will want to try this, because coffee does stain your teeth. I will be following back up with you all at the end of my bottle of charcoal so you can see how much of a whiting I got. If you decide to try this, let me know your results.

Sisterlocks 8 Months In

Hello Loves ! 

Happy Easter ! 

It has officially been 8 Months since I’ve had my Sisterlocks installed. How do I feel? I absolutely love them ! Yes , it has been ups and downs. I do not have a loctician , and decided to maintain my locs myself. I feel much closer to them , and the bond is amazing. Now , I’m going to be honest with you all. This scalp issue of mine makes me sooooo mad. I have done every thing I can think of to control this dry scalp , but it keeps happening.  Yes , I drink plenty of water, also I have used all types of dandruff shampoos, still dry scalp. Now tell me , is it true that with sisterlocks this can last up to a year your first year ? It’s totally embarrassing sometimes to scratch. ” Excuse me , while I make it snow “. Lmao.

Major growth right? I know ! Lmao. I can not wait to see how long they will be August 13th 2017. I will officially be a year. I will make sure to come bk and post more. I have some major things I’ve been working on for the blog, it’s going to be fiyah!

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation

Have you guys heard about the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation? If you haven’t, shame on you! This foundation is every oily skinned person’s dream come true! The line has 30 different shades! Yes ! 30! This is a full coverage foundation, so yes it is buildable. Plus, its super matte, which is why I said it’s great for us who skin always look like we slicked on a can of oil. I went to the Sephora in my area to grab me a bottle , and to my total disdain, they were out my color. Yes! My reaction to this was totally in shock, because here you have a product line of 30 shades, and all they had in stock was literally two shades. Wow! Really?  

The makeup rep that assisted me said that we could still find my shade, and he would give me a sample to try at home. I was a little bummed, but I did want to make sure I purchased the correct shade later, because at $35.oo a bottle, you’re going to want the right shade. He tried the 71 Deep on me first, and that was way too light, and then he grabbed the 78 deep which he said was perfect. To me it was a tad too dark, but he promised me it was a perfect match. Before leaving he did hand me a tiny sample which is no where near enough to put on your whole face to test it out for a day. I made a Youtube video about the trip to Sephora, and posted it once I returned home. 

I have to admit that I went back on Youtube looking at more Lock It Foundation reviews . because I want to make sure that its worth me going through all the trouble of hunting down. I also checked online, and they were sold out as well. I guess alot of people need a color 78. Have any of you tried it? Did you like it? Let me know your thoughts.

Sephora Trip

 

 

Box Braids On Kids

How are you ? Hoping that you are Blessed and looking Fabulous!  Over the weekend I installed box braids on my 5 year old daughter as a protective style. I used 3 packs of the Remi kankelon braid hair. I think I could had used 2 but my son that’s 3 started playing around and messed up the hair. 

I made them large, because she’s only five and I wanted to make sure that she didn’t end up with a head of heavy braids , and look too grown for her age. Trust me , I know better. Lol. 

Here’s a bit of advice for you if you have a child who cried when you just part their hair or comb it. It will be so much easier for you if you spray the section with water and then finger deranged the section.  

It took me about four hours to do her hair because she kept taking breaks , but it should had only been a two hour job at the most. 

I didn’t burn her ends, I decided to dip them in hot water and rod her ends. She’s so happy with her ” big girl braids” as she calls them, and I’m happy too because I don’t have to comb her hair for two weeks. Lmao. Hope this helps some moms out there that’s not sure if large box braids is appropriate for a child. She keeps them in a ponytail or two , so we are all good. Thanks for reading !
